DuabaConnect User Guide
A complete, task-by-task walkthrough of everything you can do in DuabaConnect — from publishing your first post to running a hands-off automation.
DuabaConnect is really two products behind one login:
Connect your social accounts, write and schedule posts, generate content with AI, and see how it performs — a full social calendar.
📅 Social publishingDeploy pre-built AI automations from a marketplace — content factories, lead funnels, WhatsApp bots — that run on your own connected accounts.
🤖 AutomationsYou sign in once. The same account gives you both the social calendar and the automations, and automations can publish straight into the calendar you already use.
Getting started
Sign in
Go to app.duabaconnect.com and sign in (or create an account). One DuabaConnect login covers everything — you never manage a second password for the social tools.
Find your way around
The left sidebar is your map. The two areas this guide covers are:
- Calendar — where you write, schedule, and see your posts.
- Automations — the marketplace of pre-built automations you can deploy.
Plus Analytics, Channels/Settings, and (on paid plans) Teams.
Free vs paid. Some features — the Public API, teams, higher posting volumes, and paid automations — unlock on a paid plan. You’ll be prompted when you reach one. See Billing & Plans.
Part 1: Social publishing
Everything here revolves around a calendar: you connect the accounts you post to, create posts, and schedule them onto the calendar (by hand or with AI).
1. Connect your social channels
Before you can post anywhere, connect that platform once.
Open your channels
From Settings → Channels (or the + on the calendar), pick the platform you want to add.
Authorize it
You’re sent to the platform (Instagram, X, etc.) to approve access, then returned to DuabaConnect. The channel now appears in your list and on the composer.
Repeat for each platform
Supported platforms:
| Platform | Platform | ||
|---|---|---|---|
| ✅ | ✅ | ||
| ✅ | YouTube | ✅ | |
| TikTok | ✅ | ✅ | |
| X (Twitter) | ✅ | Threads | ✅ |
If a channel later shows “reconnect needed”, its authorization expired (the platform revoked it or a password changed). Re-authorize it from Channels — scheduled posts to that channel pause until you do.
2. Create a post
Open the composer
Click Create (or any empty slot on the calendar) to open the composer.
Pick your channels
Tick every channel this post should go to. You can post the same content everywhere, or customise per channel — a longer caption on LinkedIn, a shorter one on X, different hashtags on Instagram — from the tabs at the top of the composer.
Write and add media
Type your caption and attach images or video. Uploads are stored on Duaba’s media storage and attached to the post. The preview pane shows how each channel will render it.
Choose when it goes out
- Now — publishes immediately.
- Schedule — pick a date and time; it drops onto your calendar.
- Add to queue — slots it into your next open posting time.
3. Work from the calendar
The Calendar is your command centre. Every scheduled and published post shows on it. From here you can:
- Drag a post to a new day or time to reschedule it.
- Click a post to edit, duplicate, or delete it.
- See state at a glance — queued, published, or errored — by colour.
A post that failed to publish (for example, a channel needing reconnection) is flagged on the calendar with the reason, so nothing fails silently.
4. Generate content with AI
You don’t have to write everything yourself. DuabaConnect can generate a stream of on-brand posts for you.
- Campaigns — point a campaign at a product or theme and DuabaConnect generates a run of posts for it, tuned to your brand and the channels you choose. Generated posts land on your calendar as drafts to review — nothing publishes without your say-so.
- AI Content Factory (automation) — a hands-off version that generates per-channel captions, hashtags, and a short-video script from a single theme and pushes them in as drafts. It’s set up once from the Automations side and then runs on its own.
Whichever you use, generated posts are review-first: they appear as drafts on your calendar. You edit or approve them, then they publish on schedule.
5. Track performance
Open Analytics to see how your posts and channels are doing — reach and engagement per channel, and per-post results over time. Use it to decide what to post more of, and when.
6. Work as a team (optional, paid)
On team plans you can invite teammates, assign roles, and route posts through an approval step before they publish — useful when a manager signs off on content before it goes live.
Part 2: Automations
Automations are pre-built workflows you deploy and then leave running. Each one does a real job — turn a theme into a week of content, chase abandoned carts on WhatsApp, score incoming leads — and runs on your own connected accounts.
The one idea to hold onto: an automation works on your accounts, not ours. So before it can run, you connect the accounts it needs (your Notion, your Discord, and so on). You do that once, and those connections are reused across every automation you deploy.
1. Browse the marketplace
Open Automations. You’ll see a curated set of social and commerce automations, each with a short description and its price. A few of the ones you’ll find:
| Automation | What it does | Price |
|---|---|---|
| AI Content Factory | One theme → per-channel captions, hashtags & a video script, pushed to your calendar as drafts | GH₵300/mo |
| Viral Trend Detection | Twice-daily radar of Ghana trends turned into content ideas | Free |
| Social Approval System | Routes posts through an approve/reject step before publishing | GH₵180/mo |
| Lead Funnel Automation | Scores and routes incoming leads, auto-acknowledges on WhatsApp | GH₵350/mo |
| WhatsApp Commerce Bot | Sells and answers on WhatsApp | GH₵500/mo |
| Abandoned Cart Recovery | Wins back shoppers who didn’t check out | GH₵450/mo |
The marketplace only shows automations relevant to you. Internal Duaba infrastructure automations are hidden — you’ll never wade through them.
2. Open an automation
Click any automation to open its page. It explains what you get, how it runs (continuously on a schedule, or on demand), and the price. Take AI Content Factory as the running example for the rest of this guide.
3. Connect your accounts
This is the step that makes the automation yours. The Connect your accounts section lists the accounts this automation uses — and only the ones that are yours to connect.
See what it needs
Each account shows its status. There are three kinds:
- Connected automatically — your DuabaConnect/Postiz workspace. You do nothing; it’s wired up from your login when you deploy.
- Connect — an account only you have, like your Notion workspace or a Discord channel. Click Connect and paste the token or webhook URL it asks for.
- Optional — the AI that powers generation. It uses Duaba’s AI by default (included in the price). If you’d rather use your own quota, click Use my own and paste your key.
Connect the ones marked “Connect”
For AI Content Factory that’s Notion (paste a Notion integration token) and Discord (paste a channel webhook URL). Each takes a few seconds and turns green — ✓ Connected.
Done once, reused everywhere
These connections belong to your account, not to this one automation. Deploy a second automation that also uses Notion, and it’s already connected.
Why connect before deploying? Your account details are baked into your private copy of the automation the moment you deploy it. Connect first, and the deploy button unlocks — it even tells you how many accounts are still to connect.
4. Configure and deploy
Set it up
Fill in the plain-language settings — for AI Content Factory that’s your brand name, the channels to write for, and the topics to post about. Each field has a hint; there’s no technical jargon.
Deploy
Once your accounts are connected, click Deploy. DuabaConnect provisions your own private copy of the automation, wires in your connected accounts, and gets it ready to publish.
5. Publish and go live
Deploying sets the automation up; Publish turns it on.
- Scheduled automations (like a twice-daily trend radar) start running on their schedule the moment you publish.
- On-demand automations show a Run now button so you can trigger them yourself.
If Publish reports an account still needs connecting, connect it in the Connect your accounts section above and deploy again. (Because your details are baked in at deploy time, connecting a new account means re-deploying so it’s picked up.)
6. Watch runs and read output
Once it’s live, the automation’s page shows its run history and its latest output — the posts it generated, the leads it scored, whatever that automation produces. Scheduled ones fill this in on their own; on-demand ones fill it in each time you hit Run now.
7. Subscriptions and billing
Free automations deploy straight away. Paid ones ask you to subscribe first — you’re taken to a secure checkout, and when payment clears you come back and deploy. Manage or cancel a subscription anytime; see Billing & Plans.
Troubleshooting
“Reconnect needed” on a channel. Its authorization expired. Re-authorize it in Settings → Channels; paused posts to that channel resume.
The Deploy button is greyed out. You still have accounts to connect for that automation. The button and the note beneath it tell you how many — connect them in Connect your accounts, and it unlocks.
Publish says an account is missing. Connect the named account, then deploy again so your copy of the automation picks it up.
A generated post didn’t publish. Check the calendar — a failed post is flagged with the reason (most often a channel that needs reconnecting).
