Vendor types

Sellub describes a vendor along two independent axes:

  • Account tier — a coarse setting (usually fixed at signup or by an admin) that decides which broad areas of the dashboard you see.
  • Capabilities / roles — the fine-grained, self-serve services you offer. You add these yourself over time; each one unlocks its own Studio builder and makes you discoverable to other vendors.

Most vendors are a Marketplace account with one or more capabilities switched on.

Account tiers

TierWho it’s forWhat the dashboard shows
MarketplaceStandard sellers listing on sellub.comProducts, Orders, Money, Delivery, Store profile, Network, Studio
Custom DomainSellers running their own branded storefront on their own domainEverything in Marketplace + Website Builder and Domain Settings
IntegrationBusinesses that only want the API / embedded checkout (no marketplace listing)Integrations (API keys, webhooks, SDK) + optional Catalog and Money
DonationFundraisers / campaigns collecting contributionsOrders shown as Donations + Integrations

The tier is derived, not picked from a menu — it follows from your account’s sellerType (set at signup or by an admin) plus whether you’ve configured a custom domain. Every account can mint API keys and embed checkout regardless of tier.

Capabilities (the roles you offer)

Capabilities are additive — turn on any combination, in any order, from Network → Offer your services or the Home journey map. Each capability has its own setup builder in Studio.

The vendor roles in detail

🛍 Seller (Sell)

The core role. List products, receive orders, fulfil them, get paid. A seller can run purely on the sellub.com marketplace, on their own branded domain, or headless via embedded checkout. Everything a seller needs is in the Seller User Guide. Sellers are also the consumers of every other vendor’s services — they wire in carriers, suppliers and designers.

🚚 Delivery partner (Deliver)

A last-mile carrier. You publish a logistics service with the zones you cover and your rate card; sellers who wire your service get a real delivery option at their checkout, and completed deliveries pay out to your account. Set up in Studio → Logistics. See how a carrier is attached to an order in How data flows.

🏭 Supplier (Source & Supply)

A wholesaler. You publish a wholesale catalog; connected sellers import your products into their own storefront at a markup and buy from you via purchase orders. Set up in Studio → Source. See the PO flow in How data flows.

🎨 Designer / Print studio (Design)

A print-on-demand or design vendor. You publish printable products (templates); sellers who wire your design service can list them, buyers customise them, and orders dispatch to your print fulfilment. Set up in Studio → Design. See How data flows.

🔌 Integrator (Integrate)

A business embedding Sellub commerce into its own app or site — API keys, webhooks and the checkout SDK. Available to every account. Set up in Studio → Integrate.

📣 Marketer (Market)  ·  🚢 Freight forwarder (Freight)

Rolling out. Marketers run campaigns and automations across social channels (see the Grow section); freight forwarders handle heavier road/water/air movement with weight-and-route pricing rather than flat last-mile rates.

How vendors relate to each other

Every trading relationship is a Wire — a two-way link created when one vendor wires another’s published service into their shop. The kinds of wire mirror the roles:

SourcingSupplierSellerLets the seller import products & raise POs
